Would you like to talk to someone online or on the phone?
People book appointments for all sorts of different reasons. It might be to help with a specific problem that’s making you feel unhappy or anxious, or it might be more like performance coaching, to work towards personal or professional goals, or to maintain progress even when things are going well.
You may have witnessed, experienced or heard about a particularly frightening or upsetting event which is feeling really difficult to cope with.
Perhaps you are making an effort to improve your health by losing weight, getting fit, stopping smoking or drinking but are finding it difficult to get started or maintain your progress.
If you’ve had depression or anxiety in the past, it might have come back again recently.
Perhaps you have exams, interviews or another important event coming up and would like support with study skills and managing anxiety and nerves on the day.
You might be quite aware of the unhelpful patterns you end up repeating, but be finding it difficult to make the changes you’d like to.
Thinking about booking a session?
It can be helpful to speak to someone outside your regular contacts, even if those people are generally helpful in many ways.
In online or phone therapy sessions, it can be a chance to speak about what’s happened or happening if you would like to do that. If you are having specific difficulties that you would like help to improve, we can use techniques from EMDR or CBT therapy.
